The success of this MÓLA approach over the past three decades is reflected in over 70 national and international awards and competitions including: The RIAI Triennial Gold Medal Award for the Arthur’s Quay Park and Tourist Information Office, Limerick; five Irish Planning Institute National Planning Awards, fourteen RIAI Awards, a Silver Diploma in the Moscow International Festival 'Zodchestvo' in 2005 and the winning design in a competition for the Irish Pavilion at Expo 2000 in Hannover.
At the 2008 RIAI Awards, MÓLA was in receipt of six awards. MÓLA was overall winner in two categories, CIT Cork School of Music won in the Best Educational Building category and Tailteann multipurpose building at Mary Immaculate College, Limerick won in the Best Leisure Building category. UCD Health Sciences Complex was Highly Commended in the Best Educational Building and Best Sustainable Project categories. Two other projects, the Media Cube for the IADT in Dun Laoghaire and the Avenue Apartments in Killarney were also Commended. The new public space at Iveragh Road in Killorglin was Selected for Exhibition.
2008 was the most successful year MÓLA has had at these prestigious annual awards and is a testament to the quality of MÓLA's design and its execution.
