The Bon Secours Day Hospital and Chapel received the Best Health Building Award at the RIAI Irish Architecture Awards 2007, June 26th 2007. The Bon Secours Hospital and Chapel was one of the four of our recently completed projects that were chosen for exhibition as part of the RIAI Irish Architecture Awards 2007.
In total there were 187 award entries and 59 of these were selected for the final exhibition. This year the RIAI awards process was changed so that the projects chosen for exhibition are also nominated for the RIAI award in their category.
Mr. John Graby, Director of the RIAI, highlighted the significance of the awards, “The RIAI Awards mark the highest achievements in architectural practice in Ireland in any given year. Now in its 19th year, the emphasis is on the importance of quality in the built environment and ensuring quality is the rule rather than the exception.”
Mr Graby continued, “This year we were delighted with the quality and increased number of entries.”
Hughie O'Donoghue, artist; Aidan Malone (MOLA), Project Technologist; Denis O'Sullivan, Bon Secours Health System Group Projects Manager; Hugh Kelly (MOLA), Project Architect & Project Director and Declan Cullan (BOCA), Architect & Director
