Mixed-Use Selected Projects

The following featured projects are a selection of ongoing and completed schemes in the
Mixed-Use sector:

	Feature Project
	Athlone Town Centre This 108,390 sq.m. development is the single biggest urban regeneration project of its kind undertaken in Ireland and incorporates 66 retail units, 148 residential units; five restaurants and a café; an 11 storey, 167-bed 4-star hotel; a covered street and square; a crèche and 1,140 car parking spaces on a 2.9 ha site adjacent to the town’s historical quarter.

	Feature Project
	Eurovea International Trade Centre, Bratislava Phase 2 of the redevelopment of a former industrial zone stretching 500m along the bank of the Danube river. This phase of redevelopment comprises a total of 183,000 sq.m. of floor space made up of 90,000 sq.m. of residential, 80,000 sq.m. of office space, 10,000 sq.m. of retail and 4,000 sq.m. of leisure, fitness and crèche uses.

	Feature Project
	Pelletstown Town Centre, Royal Canal Park, Dublin - Phase 3 Mixed-use development generating an active semi-urban centre with local shops, cafés, and dining areas which surround a large south facing marina, and a 64,738 sq.m. residential quarter comprising apartments, townhouses, and live-work units. This scheme is designed to serve as a focal point for the wider community and act as an exemplar in the design of such new urban environments.

	Feature Project
	Killorglin Town Centre Renewal This scheme, in the centre of Killorglin Town, comprises a Local Area Centre; Advance Office Building; a Mixed-Use Building; a new landscaped civic square and a town park/playground. The new town square is defined on two sides by the Mixed-Use Building and the Local Area Centre and on the remaining two sides by existing buildings along Iveragh Road and School Street.


		Mixed-Use Development, Blakes Site, Stillorgan High density residential and commercial development incorporating 215 high quality units of diverse design that maximises the southerly aspect and 4,500 sq.m. of retail, crèche, gym, restaurant and bar facilities.

		Kaliningrad 750 New build 45,970 sq.m. commercial, social, and retail development on a 1.56 hectare site located within the central district of Kaliningrad.

		Lord Edward Street, Mixed-Use Development, Limerick Mixed-Use development consisting of 59 two bed units, 222 sq.m. of retail/commercial, 72 sq.m. of office and underground car parking for approx 62 cars.

		Orchard Lane, Clondalkin, Dublin New mixed-use phased development sited on the former Cowan’s Hardware site, Orchard Lane, Clondalkin. Phase 1 comprises of 44 apartments, retail units and a senior citizens centre arranged in two blocks. Phase 2 comprises of eight apartments and a retail unit.

		International Congress Centre, Rostov-On-Don Mixed-use city centre development located in the central part of Rostov-on-Don. Situated on top of the hill and with panoramic views over the river Don, the building accommodates a new 23-storey four star hotel, an 800 seat congress hall, business centre, elite retail centre and incorporated underground and surface parking. Awarded the Silver Diploma, ‘Project of a Mix-Use Complex’ category, Zodchestvo 2005.

		Russell Square Neighbourhood Centre, Phase 1, Jobstown, Tallaght The proposed Russell Square Neighbourhood Centre is a Mixed Residential and Retail/Commercial development occupying a key site in the Jobstown area of West Tallaght. This scheme consists of three mixed-use blocks, including 46 apartments, arranged around a new Public Square.

		Steamboat Quay Mixed-Use Development, Limerick Mixed development of Commercial and Residential Units located on the central south quay of Limerick, overlooking the River Shannon.

		Timber Mill Mixed-Use Development, Artane, Dublin Timbermill is an extensive mixed-use development. In addressing the long linear sloping site the buildings have been organised into six blocks ranging in height from 2 to 4 levels and consisting of 193 two-bedroom apartments, a basement car park, crèche facility, several work/live units, a pharmacy and a convenience store.

		Mixed-Use Development, Water Street and Lower Glanmire Road, Cork Proposed development comprising 233 apartments, shops, cafés, underground parking and the conservation and redevelopment of the architecturally significant Harbour Masters Main Store Office and the Fabrication Workshop buildings as a créche and a business centre, respectively. The scheme provides private courtyards, a major and attractive riverside plaza with retained slip, and a quayside promenade.
