Bon Secours Private Hospital, Galway
This project comprised a Development Control Plan; the expansion and enhancement of the entrance facilities; a new-build day hospital and endoscopy facility including four new operating theatres and CSSD supported by a full radiological diagnostic suite. An integrated landscaping scheme responding and enhancing the building concept incorporates a new vehicular access set down area and pedestrian routes.

Mater & Children's Hospital Development, Dublin - Phase 2
Phase 2 of this €320 million project comprising the relocation and expansion of Temple Street Hospital on the site of the Mater Misericordiae Hospital and a major upgrade of the Mater Hospital facilites. This phase includes the entire Children’s Hospital development, the Main Entrance Concourse and new ward accommodation for the Adult Hospital as well as an 800 space two storey basement car park.

Hostel & Centre for Nurse Education, Mater Misericordiae, Dublin
As part of the decanting and enabling works of the Mater & Children’s Hospital Redevelopment, the Hostel Building will house the concourse, canteen and medical on-call rooms. On completion of the redevelopment the building will revert to hostel use.
The Centre for Nurse Education comprises teaching and student facilities, library and office areas, and is designed for possible future use as an Administration Building.

Chapel, Bon Secours Private Hospital, Galway
The chapel is designed as an oasis perched away from the normal hustle and bustle of the hospital’s daily routine and, simultaneously, as a focal point for the day hospital. The chapel is enclosed by two curved walls and orientated on an East-West axis. To the East a 4.8 metre tall by 11 metre long curved glass wall depicts the liturgical cycle, to the West a curved concrete wall cast to have a timber grain.


 
 
 
 

Consultants' Clinic, Bon Secours Private Hospital, Galway
The Consultants Clinic is a stand alone three-storey building comprising 19 consultant suites; two communal treatment rooms; a kitchenette; plant room; reception and entrance lobby; revised internal roadways; pedestrian paths and site works; additional car parking spaces; landscaping and ancillary works.

Accident & Emergency and Day Procedures Unit

New-build development comprising a self contained A & E Department incorporating a treatment ward; diagnostic facilities; observation ward; full resuscitation facilities and decontamination facilities and a self contained Day Procedures Unit incorporating an endoscopy suite and a full operating suite.

 
 
 
 
 

Mid-Western Regional Hospital, Limerick
Completed works include an Outline Development Control Plan, two major phases of development and a subsequent Protective Development Control Plan. Most recently MÓLA has been separately appointed to the following projects all which are presently at design stage: a new Adult Psychitaric Unit; a new Child Psychiatric Unit; a new Regional Specialist Breast Screening Unit and a new Dermatology Unit.

Phased upgrading and expansion of the existing hospital building providing a new main entrance concourse; Medical and Surgical Wards; Rehabilitation Unit; Acute Psychiatry; Obstetrics; Paediatrics; Elderly Care including Eldery Day Care; Child and Adolescent Unit; Cardiac Rehabilitation; Operating Theatres; Laboratories; Pharmacy; CSSD; Administration; On Call and Staff Facilities.
Phase 1 comprises the upgrading of the existing ward accommodation.
 
 
 
  National Rehabilition Hospital,
Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin

Replacement and expansion of the National Rehabilitation Hospital on its existing site in a single contruction phase thus allowing the existing service to continue without disruption until the new facilty is complete in 2012. The new building will accommodate 235 in-patient beds; rehabilitation for patients who have suffered traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury as well as prosthetics and orthototic; general rehabilitation and a major out-patient service.
 
 
 
  Community Care Centre HSE Community Nursing Home Unit, St. Mary’s Hospital Grounds, Phoenix Park, Dublin
MÓL-BOCA, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, were appointed by tender submission to design and build a 100-bed ‘turn key’ high quality community nursing home unit and associated works. The site in the Phoenix Park is located in a walled garden to the rear of St. Mary’s Hospital.

First stage in a comprehensive redevelopment of Roscommon County Hospital, providing for a replacement Accident and Emergency Department along with a new Medical Assessment Department and space for the future expansion of the Radiology Department.
 
 
 
  Community Care Centre St Elisabeth Hospital, Ravensburg, Germany - Competition
Competition for the replacement and expansion of the St. Elisabeth Regional Hospital on its existing site in a single construction phase.

  Saint John's Community Hospital, Enniscorthy, Co Wexford
This 100-bed hospital for the elderly replaces the present County Home, and is a new facility providing front line services in the therapies on a Day Basis and In-Patient services for Rehabilitation, Alzheimer’s, Extended Care and Intermediate Care.
The facility also includes a special integrated provision for Alzheimer patients and a special unit for young dependent adults

  South Infirmary - Victoria Hospital, Cork
Site Strategy Study for the future development of the South Infirmary - Victoria Hospital in Cork. The area of the site is 2.2 hectares and has a 9.5m drop in level separating the Victoria hospital from the South Infirmary. In addition to looking at ways of expanding the existing hospital, the study incorporated proposals for a new breast check clinic as a first phase development and the replacement of all public wards, operating theatres and the intensive care unit.

 
 
 
 

South Tipperary General Hospital, Clonmel
This project consists of the refurbishment and extension of existing general hospital to provide new Radiology Department, Operating Department, CSSD, Medical and Surgical Day Unit, Wards, ICU, Physiotherapy, Education Centre, Consultants Clinic, Medical Records, On Call and Accident and Emergency Unit as part of a comprehensive Development Control Plan.
