has extensive experience in the design of Educational Buildings.
We have been involved in many projects in the areas of both Secondary
and Third Level Education since 1979. Many of our education projects
have won design awards including Royal Institute of Architects of
Ireland Annual Awards, Architectural Association of Ireland Awards
and Construction Excellence Awards.
Our completed
Third Level work includes major projects for University College
Dublin, University College Cork, Trinity College Dublin, Galway-Mayo
Institute Of Technology, University of Limerick, Dublin City University,
National University of Ireland Galway, Limerick Institute of Technology
and other colleges.
Our secondary
school projects include Castletroy College in Limerick, Roscrea
Community College and a masterplan and development for Belvedere
College SJ, Dublin.
EXEMPLARY EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES
Two of our education projects were chosen as 'Exemplary
Educational Facilities' in a 2002 OECD report "Design
for Learning' on schools and colleges across 21 OECD countries.
The report described
the Limerick Institute of Technology (above
left) as an example of 'how
education can be improved by the buildings in which it is carried
out'.
The Glucksman
Library, University of Limerick (above right)
was also praised for being a building '
that reflects the way that university members actually use library
and information services for teaching, learning and research'.
