  Cork School of Music
The Cork School of Music with an area of over 10,000 sq.m. will be the first purpose built building of its kind in Ireland, consisting of specialist tuition areas, rehearsal hall, drama suite and lecture rooms. The school was the first educational PPP project undertaken by the Irish Government.

The winning design for Ireland's Pavilion at EXPO 2000, an abstracted evocation of the Irish landscape symbolises the dynamism, creativity, sophistication and optimism of contemporary Ireland.

Master Plan for Dublin Docklands
Murray O'Laoire Architects, as lead consultants, were commissioned in 1997 by the Government of Ireland to prepare the Draft Master Plan for the Dublin Docklands. The master plan was the largest ever undertaken in Ireland and one of the largest Docklands regeneration strategies in the world.

 
 
 
     
     
 

‘Wohnhaus Aargau’ - Competition
Open competition for living accommodation and working & training facilities for severely disabled persons in the canton Aargau in Switzerland.


 
 
 
  Affordable Apartments Competition,
Holles & Fenian Street, Dublin

This competition, sponsored by Dublin Corporation, comprises of 11 apartments in a seven storey tower - six 68sq.m. 2 bed apartments and five 44 sq.m. 1 bed apartments.
 
 
 
  Art Box Competition
Civic & Cultural
International design ideas competition comprising the design of a mobile performance and exhibition space. MÓLA’s submission, comprised of three elements – a wall, a windbreak and a roof, is flexible, making it adaptable to a variety of locations, events and activities.

Phase 2 of the Cork Opera House’s Millennium Project which, in its entirety, will see a new extension to the Front of House.

 
 
 
  Longford Enterprise Centre - Competition
New build Enterprise Centre comprising three functionally distinct elements, linked by circulation and pivot spaces of various configurations both internal and external. The organisation of the building in plan can be understood in its external, three-dimensional appearance; the light-industrial, office and training areas each clearly identifiable and distinguishable from the other.
 
 
 
  Re-Inventing Limerick Docklands - Competition
In association with a team of economists, engineers, transport specialists and planners, Murray O'Laoire Architects prepared an approach to a strategic development plan for the Docklands area of Limerick City.
 
 
 
  Refurbishment & Extension to The Irish College, Louvain, Belgium
The Irish College, originally a seminary, is now home to the Louvain Institute for Ireland in Europe.
The project consists of the complete restoration and refurbishment of the existing buildings, conversion of the church to a 200-seater conference centre and the sensitive integration of new buildings and interventions.
 
 
 
  North Wall Pedestrian Bridge - Competition
The Brief required a pedestrian bridge that would be both functional and beautiful. The bridge has various opening sections, which can be opened individually or in unison. This allows, for example, the central span to be opened for passage of craft while still allowing spectators a vantage point over the water.
 
 
 
 

Oslo Opera House - Competition
Civic & Cultural
Entry to an International Competition for the design of a new, 35,000 sq.m., National Opera House to be situated on Oslo's waterfront.

 
 
 
  UCD Student Centre, Dublin
Student Centre accommodating extensive common/social areas; retail units; a 600 seater multi-purpose hall; meeting rooms; students union offices; student health centre and bar. The multi-purpose hall can act independently and features retractable seating and sliding acoustic walls that can divide the space in two for simultaneous events. Administrative, support and ancillary areas are also provided.
